UNHCR LOGO

Six months ago, I went to the UNHCR, The United Nations High Commission for Refugees to see if they can help with my stay in Syria after my visa almost expired. They told me that they can't do anything to help me. Since then I have been facing many obstacles even in doing the simple daily life needs. Then I felt like doing this to the UNHCR logo.

knowing your condition, we were wondering what we can do to help the situation.

do you have an opinion on the 2008 united states election, or does it not matter to you? also, with the united states already in your country, what would you want them to do to help the situation? just leave?

Glad to hear from you.
I am not sure if any elected president will be able to fix the devastation the United States adminstration caused in Iraq. Some of U.S. candidates' adds saying they would end the war if they were elected, reflects that the people of America don't want the war in Iraq to continue which is a very good thing and would bring a positive reputation to the Americans. I just hope that politics won't overcome the humanity in your society especially in a time where policy of wars is followed by many countries. I highly think that the option of wars takes place when politics fail.

do you think most iraqis make a distinction between the American government/military and the American people? because as an Ameican i feel very misrepresented by my government and the bad reputation it is spreading for the American people throughout the world

I think that people from both sides need to communicate more, explain more to each other so that the the stereotype of "Muslims and Arabs are terrorism" or that "Americans are the ones who brought destruction to Iraq"
